Department

Department of Chemistry is one of the important Department in Adarsh Mahavidyalaya, Omerga. The Department of Chemistry was established in 1990 as a new Science Department with an objective of providing quality education in the conventional areas of Science and growing into a center for teaching. The Department already has eight regular faculties [Professor (04) & Assistant Professor (04)]. The department has three well equipped laboratories possessing necessary chemicals, reagents, glassware, lab wares and basic instruments for performing experiments in Physical, Inorganic, Organic and Industrial Chemistry. The department has its own library having sufficient number of books is available in Departmental library to fulfill the requirement of the faculty members and students. We are proud that our collective enthusiasm is continuously generating a good number of bright students.

AIMS

To provide students with a sound education in the fundamental concepts and modern practice of chemistry.

VISION

        To enhance our status as an outstanding teaching and which is    recognized for its quality teaching, innovative research to promote and discovery of new molecular entities that attracts the best students globally.

OBJECTIVES

·    To understand the interdisciplinary nature of chemistry

·  To learn about the laboratory skills needed to design, safely conduct and interpret chemical research.

·   To acquire a foundation in chemistry of sufficient breadth and depth to enable them to understand and critically interpret the primary chemical literature.

     ·  To develop the ability to effectively communicate scientific information and research results in written and oral formats

GOALS

· To provide a broad foundation in Chemistry that stresses scientific reasoning and analytical problem solving with a molecular perspective.

· To provide students with the skills required to succeed in Chemistry subject.

· To expose the students to a breadth of experimental techniques using modern instrumentation techniques.

·   To Train & motivate the Students by academic Experts & Professionals

·   To ensure the Students to Participate in Seminar & Workshops
